Summer arrives with a familiar invitation: move faster, build more, earn more, scale more and reach more people; get closer to the front of the line. Everywhere we look there is velocity.
Trillion-dollar companies, IPOs, and wealth creation is happening at extraordinary speed. Entire ecosystems are rewarding growth, expansion, optimization, and accumulation. Even among people who already have more than enough, the pressure remains to stay relevant, stay upward, stay in the upper tier of the K-curve economy.
The message is subtle but relentless: more is the answer. And yet this season carries another current entirely. Last week’s Jupiter–Venus energy reminded many of us of abundance. Not abundance as acquisition but abundance as openness and of receiving and allowing life to move toward us. But receiving is not passive; receiving requires coherence and authenticity to self. Because if we are not conscious of where we want to go, speed simply takes us somewhere faster.
That is what the Fire Horse year teaches me. Fire is life force, passion, momentum, and creation. Horses are movement and together they are extraordinary energy. But energy without direction does not necessarily create fulfillment, it creates acceleration. And acceleration without consciousness can leave us arriving somewhere impressive… but not recognizable.
I have been thinking about this while hosting conversations at GlobalMindED, preparing for Currents at Montcalm, and sitting with more and more people who appear successful on paper yet quietly ask: How do I make my financial life feel more like me? What I am seeing over and over is that people are not starving for opportunity, they are starving for coherence and for permission to define enough and permission to find their authentic selves. They are looking for a relationship with wealth that supports their essence rather than performing someone else’s definition of success.
When people become coherent and then what they earn, invest in, create, give, and receive begin to align, something unexpected happens: they naturally move toward what matters. Not from obligation, not because impact is trendy, not because they should, but because abundance starts expressing itself through service and authenticity.
When one is authentic to their true essence and allows that to come through, I often see investment change, philanthropy change, and relationships change. In front of us there are two versions of summer. One that is driven by FOMO and acceleration and proving and accumulation and that summer often creates a fall that falls apart. The other summer is deeply coherent and authentic. And that is a summer spent becoming more honest about what you actually want, more available to receive, more aligned with your values, and more willing to define wealth as resonance instead of status. That summer creates true sunshine. Not just for yourself but for your family, your friendships, and your community.
And perhaps that is the real invitation of this season: harness the energy that’s true to your authentic self, and choose your direction. Become coherent and then receive more than you thought possible.
